SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.

SASSA will be rendering expert services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it's alarmed with regards to the high range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The company sassa position developed for intervention encounters a significant influx of likely beneficiaries, which makes it tough for the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this sassa reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to permit the servicing of all clients and increase usage of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
